Building prambanan temple

The earthquake that struck Yogyakarta on Mei, 27th 2006 has been damaged and left Prambanan temple in serious condition. From the cracks in the wall, the roof materials that partly falling down to the ground, to some of the reliefs that had been broken, all of those are evidence both of the strength of the earthquake and vulnerability of our heritage from natural disasters. This book is small notes of an effort that had been done during 2007 and 2008 to restore Prambanan temple after the earthquake. Until now, there are two temple (Nandi and Garuda temple) that have been restored. And for other temples in main yard of Prambanan temple compound, their restoration will be done soon. The restoration of this great temple compound, a masterpiece of ancient Java civilization, is an effort to preserve our heritage.
